It's Here, It's Here, It's Finally Here!!!
I know, I know, shut up already!!! But I can't help it!!! I feel like a kid on Christmas morning LOL!!! My beloved Nikon D90 has arrived today!!!!!!!!!!! I pulled it out of the box, which mind you I only sent the body of the camera because I didn't know what they would want...So I got the whole new kit again!! So I had my other battery charged and immediately went to work trying to find things to take pictures of!! I could tell from the first picture I took the difference from this camera to the dud I sent back!! Right away when they camera pulled the lens to focus it did so with much more power than the other one did!!! Such a huge difference!!! Hopefully something fun will come up soon and I can put it to the test!! So here are my few samples from today....

A great camera is so much fun... My hubby gave me mine last Xmas and now with blogging I'm learning so much about it. I love it! I'm in love with a Nikon too! It is a Coolpix P80 - I've tried many of the features and also have manual settings but haven't gone there yet. It sounds like yours may be an SLR -- you stated attachments? Have a wonderful day and I look forward to seeing what you capture with the lens. I'm wanting to try some photo contests (since I did when I was young) so looking for them.....
ReplyDeleteWhat program do you have for your pictures? I have paint shop (but new computer - new software) -- I need to do some studying! Do you use your software to identify your pictures and add your name to it in the corner?

ReplyDeleteCool..these are great! what was the other one doing? Sometimes mine won't find what it focussing on, and I think.. it is the shot.. like the moon at night is a hard one..so now you have me wondering...

ReplyDeleteGUACG~ Yes my camera is a DSLR it is the Nikon D90. I currently am using Lightroom for editing my pictures. Before that I used Picnik, they are fun to use for adding text to the picture and they have some really cool fun features you can do to your pictures!!
ReplyDeleteJan~ I had just bought this camera back in February and from the get go the pictures just didn't seem clear enough so I sent the camera and lens to a Nikon Dealer so that he could diagnose the lens with a problem so I could send it back, however much to my surprise he said it was definitely NOT the lens...He believed it to be a mechanism inside the camera that did not allow it to pull a focus right...So long story short I fought and fought and I won and got a new one!! Now I will say that sometimes if the lighting isn't right then the camera cannot focus to take the picture...As far as moon shots go, are you using a tripod?? I spent sometime this summer and finally got good moon shots, even with my broken camera..What lens do you have right now on your camera?
Whew! That was a long, hard battle...and you won! I'm happy for you that you finally got the camera you wanted....one that works! :)

Oh my! I am so glad Nikon finally came around and just look at the new pictures!!! Those are awesome! Loved that last one - the sun was in great focus!
