Yes I'm a Grown Woman....And Yes I LOVE Taylor Swift!!

Last Night was the much anticipated Taylor Swift concert!! My DD had asked for tickets for Christmas from her Grandma but we were unable to get them because they sold out so stinkin fast!! But I have been watching for months and waiting for just the right tickets to come along and finally they did....Monday! So I got us tickets on the FLOOR front section by the stage!!! We had AWESOME seats and just an awesome time!!

I want you to just check out Kellie's shoes!!! OMGosh what I would give for a pair of those LOL!!

The opening acts were Gloriana and Kellie Pickler, it was great!! They all did so good and it was great to see them play and sing!! My fabulous Hubby took off work to drive us girls, first on the hour trek to the city and took us to dinner then dropped us at the door! Talk about excellent service *giggles*!! I took my DD her Bestie and my Mom!

We have had just an enormous amount of people with negative comments about seeing TS live! Things like, "she sucks live", "she lip syncs", "I wouldn't pay a dime to see her (courtesy of DD's teacher)"!! I tell ya I don't get the negativity! I mean of course everyone has their own opinions and if you don't like her then that is your right! But don't hate LOL!! I honestly have loved TS since her first single "Tim McGraw", then I purchased her first CD and learned that she not only sings these songs but writes pretty much ALL of them AND she can play the guitar!! That is super talent of you ask me! But that's just my opinion!!

In any case her concert ROCKED!!! I cannot even express how awesome she is live! She is such a character! And she plays the "character" in everyone of her songs! I think she is a great role model for young girls! She did some of the neatest things during her concert but the neatest by far was the ending! The final song of the night was "Should've Said No" that ended with a waterfall and words from the song and a sunburst appearing in the water as it fell!! TS literally walked into the waterfall and finished the song LOL!! I kept thinking "man that's gotta feel good"!! It was hot in there!

  1. How can you have anything but admiration for such a beautiful young woman with that much talent and ambition? I saw an interview with her, and she pretty much calls the shots on the her whole show, all the production, everything.

  2. OH man I am SOOOOOO jealous!!! I love Taylor. I don't understand the people that say they hate her, etc. She just has so much talent that even if you don't like the pop/country sound of her music you need to respect her!! Another thing I like about her is her songs are CLEAN. And she has a song to fit every mood :) I love her white dress, what song was that for?? Thanks for sharing the photos, wish I coulda been there :)

  5. Yes she is great - so talented and just nice! Have seen her on Opra and other shows, and she is genuine. Glad you got to go to this concert w/DD and friend and MOM. A wonderful Hubby to get you there and back. A great concert that DD won't ever forget.

  6. I think she is awesome too. For once, a positive, young role model for our girls.

Looks like you girls had f.u.n!! Yay for 3 generations being able to get together and enjoy some girl time.

You know the one that irritates me is Carrie Underwood. I love some of her songs-darn it!, but would never spend a dime on her in concert or buying her stuff because she is a PETA freak. Which is fine, except she cancelled her concert at the Cheyenne Frontier Days. Quite frankly, I'm tired of the PETA freaks cancelling shows at Cheyenne for their 'cause'. Don't schedule if all you are going to do is cancel to make a point. How about make your point by not scheduling?

    (deep breath...stepping off soapbox) LOL

  10. I was just saying yesterday how I'd like to see Taylor!! Funny, I just watched Tim McGraw last week and he was set up his next song by saying how important it was to him, how he likes to listen to it all the time and then he broke into Taylor's "Tim McGraw" lol It was cute:)

  12. Leah~ AMEN to that!! Very well stated!!

BK~I agree I love that her songs are clean!! The white dress was what she had on under the ball gown for "Love Story" very similar to the video if I remember right...Kellie Pickler started with long blonde hair then she did change it for a while before going short blonde!! Very cute!

BEC~ Oh you stay on that soap box girl LOL!! I totally agree!!!

  13. Oh looks like you guys had an absolute blast! The pictures are awesome. I'm not a country music fan, but TS has awesome talent and looks like the show is absolutely wonderful!

I too am very tired of the negativity as of late. It seems to be everywhere, whatever happened to the "If you have nothing nice to say, then keep your mouth shut" rule? Or just plain being a good Christian and treating others as you want to be treated? ugh!
