Nothing Like Good Old 4H Fun!!

Wednesday night marked our county's first 4H Horse Project meeting of the year! We were a little late in the year to be having our first meeting but it's been a transition to say the least! This year I have taken over as the Project Leader for the group and I have to say I have NO idea what I'm doing when it comes to running a group like this!! I did not grow up in 4H, I always wanted to join but it didn't really fit our lives as kids I guess.... So my kiddo's have been member's for many years now! All of this came about as my friend Cowboy S was the leader and really the man is stretched for time in every aspect of his life so that's where I came in! He is our "Superintendent" so he helps me with ideas and any questions I have, he really is a great asset to our kids so I am very glad he stayed on! In addition I also have a gal from our county but different club than ours, she called me a couple of months ago and offered to help so that has been AWESOME!! I totally love her! She is so much like me....Might get dangerous LOL! We have lots planned for the kiddo's but our first meeting was grooming. We decided to go with that as we weren't sure how many "horseless" kids we have so some of them may not know the basics. I was so thrilled that everyone signed up for the project was there!!

Our next meeting we will be covering trail riding and trail safety as our first outing we have planned is a ride to move some cattle across the Chickaskia River in May!! I am SO excited for this! I think it will be an absolute BLAST for the kiddo's!!













This was HILARIOUS!! We sent the girls to load up one of Cowboy S's horses and next thing we know it's taking all 4 of them to close the door LOL!! Best part is they already had the divider closed so PJ wasn't getting out!

Yes I'm a Grown Woman....And Yes I LOVE Taylor Swift!!

Last Night was the much anticipated Taylor Swift concert!! My DD had asked for tickets for Christmas from her Grandma but we were unable to get them because they sold out so stinkin fast!! But I have been watching for months and waiting for just the right tickets to come along and finally they did....Monday! So I got us tickets on the FLOOR front section by the stage!!! We had AWESOME seats and just an awesome time!!

I want you to just check out Kellie's shoes!!! OMGosh what I would give for a pair of those LOL!!









The opening acts were Gloriana and Kellie Pickler, it was great!! They all did so good and it was great to see them play and sing!! My fabulous Hubby took off work to drive us girls, first on the hour trek to the city and took us to dinner then dropped us at the door! Talk about excellent service *giggles*!! I took my DD her Bestie and my Mom!
















We have had just an enormous amount of people with negative comments about seeing TS live! Things like, "she sucks live", "she lip syncs", "I wouldn't pay a dime to see her (courtesy of DD's teacher)"!! I tell ya I don't get the negativity! I mean of course everyone has their own opinions and if you don't like her then that is your right! But don't hate LOL!! I honestly have loved TS since her first single "Tim McGraw", then I purchased her first CD and learned that she not only sings these songs but writes pretty much ALL of them AND she can play the guitar!! That is super talent of you ask me! But that's just my opinion!!
















In any case her concert ROCKED!!! I cannot even express how awesome she is live! She is such a character! And she plays the "character" in everyone of her songs! I think she is a great role model for young girls! She did some of the neatest things during her concert but the neatest by far was the ending! The final song of the night was "Should've Said No" that ended with a waterfall and words from the song and a sunburst appearing in the water as it fell!! TS literally walked into the waterfall and finished the song LOL!! I kept thinking "man that's gotta feel good"!! It was hot in there!

Where does it all go??

You know how when your kids are in grade school and they make these life size class crafts...Ever wonder what the teacher might do with those said "crafts"?!?! Well I soon learned yesterday that my daughter's teachers were very smart about this...Instead of having crap pile up every year they offered these things to the kids through a class room auction!! WHAT?? Seriously?!?! I don't want those gigantic things either LOL!! Now don't get me wrong I ALWAYS keep J's and DD's craft or art projects...But a life size class project, man those teachers are witty!! So yesterday was DD's last day of school and she says excitedly "guess what Mama?!?! We had an auction today for things in our class room and me and Tay (her bestie) we won our class Rain Forest"!!! And then " I have the tree trunks and leaves and Tay has the vines and flowers, so when she comes over tomorrow we are going to make my room into a Rain Forest"!! Yay me...NOT LOL!!! So sure enough the girl's went skating for their last time of the school year tonight and then they came right home and got to work on their rain forest....So it is now complete....DD no longer has a horsey room she has a rain forest LOL!!

Loving Mother's Day

I tell you I had a great Mother's Day this year!!! Starting the other day when J gave me the vase he made for me, then Friday DD came home and gave me a basket that she weaved herself. It's so cute, lots of different colors!! Our Mother's Day was a little different this year, we usually have a big family gathering but unfortunately we didn't get to do that...We did though have my Mom and Granny and Hubby's Mom and Dad out for lunch/dinner, oh and my cousin who is J's age came out with my mom.

So my day started off with my Hubby asking if I wanted to get up yet and of course I didn't so he said what do you need done so we can do it. So I told him and he came back in about an hour later and asked if I was ready yet so finally I didn't feel tired and up I go!! Hubby tells me that he is a lousy Hubby as my Mother's Day gift is not here yet, but he ordered it and has a picture of it LOL!! Only my Hubby!! But he say's DD has something that she is wrapping right now!! So I go out and finally she comes down with a hand made beautiful card and inside the card is my present so I'm feeling away trying to figure out what it is?!?! I said it feels like gravel or rocks LOL!! So I finally open it up and lo-and-behold it's a necklace from my store LOL!! She says "man that was easy, I was like I need to get Mama something...OH I'll just go shopping in her store LOL"!! So she picked me a pretty gemstone necklace and pendant to go on it...So Later in the day I say to DD "hey DD I got a call from the owner of that store you went shopping at and they want you to pay up on your bill" and DD says to me "well take it up with Daddy, he's buying" LOL!!! I laughed so hard at her!!! What a pill!! Oh and my mystery gift from Hubby is a new pair of Ariat Pro Baby's (my favorite!!!). They are soooo cute I can't wait to get them!!

So we had our lunch today and it was really good!! Although we were missing some important family members and that kind of sucked!! But we hope they had a wonderful Mother's Day as well!!
