This is SO Cool!!

About a month ago I stopped by my Momma's house and she said she had a serving bowl that she'd picked up from an estate sale and thought I might like it. So she brings it out and YES I LOVE it!!! Absolutely one of the coolest pieces I have ever seen! Then she told me that this is a vintage piece as it was made in 1952! Then I was even more excited LOL!! So it has proudly been on display in my kitchen!






Tonight we headed to the city to celebrate my twin cousin's 17th Birthday and their Momma, my favorite Auntie text me and said that when I got there she had something to show me. She had been at my Great Aunt and Uncles house helping them pack because they are leaving us and moving to Washington to be near their daughter. They are both elderly and my Uncle is in a wheelchair which is getting to be way to much for my 84 year old Aunt. So while my Auntie was there she found this serving platter and a gravy bowl and thought to herself that it was something I would probably like to have as I would probably never see them again after this weekend (I am a very sentimental type person) so she got them for me and was so excited to show me when I got there! So we go into the house and she runs over to where they are and is like "do you LOVE them"?! I was in shock!!! I couldn't believe what I was looking at!!










Yep that's right they are matching pieces to the bowl my Momma got for me!! I was SO excited I said "OH MY these are the same pattern as the one I just got from my Momma"!!! I think I might have started jumping up and down to LOL!! I absolutely cannot believe how much my mom and her sister think alike! And how much they both know me!! I was beaming from ear to ear and am now on the hunt for more pieces to add to my *new* collection!!

I Got Little Treasures!!!

Well I had the best gift today when I opened my mailbox.....A couple of weeks ago I entered a contest at Copper Pony's Cowgirl Blog, the contest was to see who could match the "Equicuz's to their Owner's! I have to tell you, it was quite honestly the funnest game I've played thus far in Bloggy world!! I loved it!! And it was a bit of a challenge, but I learned alot too!! So the gift in the mailbox was a box of Little Treasures!!! You wanna see!!!

So I got the CUTEST Little pillow that says "Anyone can dream with a little faith" and that's SO true!! Oh the card I just loved it, it was so cute!! Orange paisley! I want some bed setting in that pattern and color now LOL!! OK so then I got a hanging decoration pillow that says "Blessing" which I LOVE because I am very blessed!! AHH the Santa Christmas Ornament, LOVE it!! Some really cute pop up stickers I'm thinking I will use in DD's scrapbook!! Last but not least the Black and White tile magnets, I love those!!! I have never seen those before but they will get good use here because I have a million things on the fridge LOL!! Oh and I cannot forget to mention the cutest tissue paper ever!! Polka Dots and Strips in bright colors!!

A little of this and that....

I know everyone is waiting patiently for our name pick for the colt, and unfortunately we still have not decided OMGosh....I tell DD everyday when she gets home from school that tonight is the night...Then never fails, we forget because we are to stinkin busy!! I didn't get a post up last night as I was once again without internet!! So this week we are preparing for the big TOP dance competition that DD is doing this weekend!! I am so excited they have been working so hard, I was so thrilled because I was going to film it and share it with you all but per contest guidelines we can't have any camera's or camcorders...Ahh!!! That really makes me mad, you know we pay for our kids to do this and I think we should be allowed to record them if we want to!!! I will at least be satisfied if I can purchase a video or something...I just hate not having her things on video, you know I am just a huge picture taking, video filming freak LOL!! So that was our night tonight for her, DD went to her bestie Tay Tay's to practice and had a blast. We did some chores around the ranch!!

Today J gave me my Mother's Day gift, he says because he was afraid he would break it by Sunday. I think he was just really excited and wanted to give it to me. Whatever the reason I don't care, I just LOVE it!! He has been doing woodworking in school and has spent the last 6 weeks making me a wooden vase. This vase is made up of 5 different types of wood and has a glass tube in the middle to put a flower in. I mean to tell you I was a bit teary eyed when he gave this to me with such a smile on his face. I am so proud of him, and I am such a blessed Mommy. I can never tell you all enough what a great kid he is, he just never ceases to amaze me with the things that he does. And I must say this is THE BEST Mother's Day gift I have ever received!!
