Bringing Out the Old for Giggles!!

So with all of this Winter weather we are experiencing one of my favorite past times is to go through DD's old rodeo video's! Totally gets me hyped for Summer and doesn't make it seem so far away!! So on my trip down memory lane I found this video that I absolutely love for the mere fact that I cannot believe that her horse acted this way LOL....Or maybe I can....He has proven to be a toot on some occasions!!

DD's 3 minute Flag Run!!!!

  1. He was really being an itch, wasn't he? Hopefully, he doesn't always act like that. Dang, I wish I had that girl's riding skills.

  2. Good for DD not giving up! You have inspired me to post about my daughter's first barrel race.

  4. Well done to DD, but I've got to tell you, I laughed my head off because Max was just like that on Sunday, I could feel DD's frustration. I must say DD's got a lot more patience than me! Guess you don't wear a hat for this kind of thing then? Oh, and the music and the way you've filmed it is fantastic too.

  5. Good job! She didn't him get the best of her - I can tell you if that were me right where we'd be going next - to the practice pen - where stay for the rest of the evening and work work work.

  6. I enjoyed seeing that run again.
She did a good job not letting him have his way.
    Way to go girl.

  7. Oh my gosh, you just brought back a flood of memories with that! Flags used to be my favorite event! What a little shit, I woulda wanted to kill him! Your little girl is pretty tough and good for her for keeping her head about her! I don't remember ever having that much trouble with flags, but I do believe I've clocked an 8 minute Hurry Scurry or Keyhole run before!

  8. Oh my gosh! This Ozarks farm chick has to hand it to Miss DD, I think I would of shot the dang horse....right on the spot! She sure kept her cool!

Ya'll have a fabulously blessed weekend from the hills and hollers of the Missouri Ponderosa!!!

  9. You girls' comments really made me giggle!!!

Leah~ Yes she does a pretty good job handling him!!

TC~ Can't wait to read it!!

Autumn Mist~ They have the option to wear a hat, but this particular circuit there are so many kids they request strings so they don't lose them...Takes up way to much time fetching those lost hats LOL!!

Steph~ He was being a pill! I do remember what the issue was that night. A couple of weeks before that she had leaned to far to stick the flag and actually almost fell off the side of him and luckily she caught herself but after that it was like he was to afraid to get her to close LOL!! He definitely can be a toot!

Mama H~ Oh she did want to kill him, she was ticked!! But she was proud of herself for "finishing" the run!!

Nezzy~ You have a blessed weekend as well!!

  10. That's Pete, right? Looks like rodeo events are not his thing anymore. He looks fed up and pissed and unwilling to cooperate at all. She was kicking the crap out of him and he still wouldn't go. He even gave a warning rear, but he had already made his point. He's done.

Looks like it's time to get DD another horse, before she gets seriously hurt.
She's such a great rider and deserves a willing, cooperative, heart with the horse and mind for these rodeo events. Pete's already checked out.
